Gil Morgan Golf Course accepting bids on new greens and irrigation

Greens Bid

The City of Wewoka is going out for bids for the Dr. Gil Morgan Municipal Golf Course Green Renovation.  The City of Wewoka will be taking bids beginning February 16, 2010 at 2:00 pm.  The bid will be on approximately 39,000 square feet of MiniVerde Bermuda Grass Sprigs.  The bid will consist of spreading of the sprigs on each green and rolling them in from three directions.  There will be an inspection three times the first year, by-yearly the next two years.  Extensive five year fertilizer program will be provided.  Bids will close Monday, March 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Wewoka City Council will approve bid Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at City Council Meeting.  Contractor will have until Saturday, May 15, 2010 from approval of bid to start work.  Contractor will have two days according to weather to install the MiniVerde Bermuda Greens.

Irrigation Bid

The City of Wewoka is going out for bids for the installation of an automated irrigation system at the Dr. Gil Morgan Municipal Golf Course.  The City of Wewoka will be taking bids beginning February 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.  The bid will be on installation of approximately 12,000’ of Maxi Communication Cable.  Connection of 40 700 Series IC Rotor w/#48 Nozzles with 40 1.25” swing joints and connection of 95 900 Series IC Rotor w/#60 Nozzles with 95 1.50” swing joints.  25 IC Surge Device will be installed.  25 8’x5/8’ Ground Rods with 25 5/8” Ground Clamps.  300 DBY Wire Connectors and one Central Control Program.  One year ground saturation program with Go Software IC.  Contractor will also provide an up to date diagram of the automated irrigation system.  Contractor will be responsible for workability and instruction before leaving project.  Four year warranty on installation of irrigation system.  Bids will close Monday, March 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.  Wewoka City Council will approve bid Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Wewoka City Council Meeting.  Contractor will have 20 days to start job from approval of bid.  From the start date the contractor will 25 days to complete installation of automated irrigation system.
